International Training Course on Agro-meteorology was Successfully Completed  

    On the afternoon of Sept. 30th, the Closing Ceremony of International Training Course on Agro-meteorology was held in  Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology. The course is organized by China Meteorological Administration, undertook by WMO Nanjing RTC. The Deputy Director of WMO RTC, Professor Lei Zhaochong presided over the closing ceremony.
     Professor Lei Zhaochong, the Deputy Director of  WMO RTC who represents WMO RTC  express his gratitude to  China Meteorological Administration and WMO for their long-standing support . He was also grateful to the participants for the cooperation , the understanding and the contribution, and expected them to use their knowledge and the skills of Agro-meteorology in their working. He hoped the participants could have deep communication and cooperation with the same trade in China. Professors of our university and invited professors from the other university taught agriculture meteorology basic theories and latest developments of Chinese agricultural meteorology. During the training, the participants visited  the Agro-meteorological Experimental Station of NUIST.
    On behalf of the participants, Mr. Didace Rwabitega who comes from Burundi expressed their gratitude to China Meteorological Administration and WMO RTC Nanjing for organizing the training and providing  the accommodation. He was sincerely grateful that  Chinese Government makes great efforts for the meteorological training of developing countries, and expected further help in the future.
   This seminar is the 83th international training course which is held by  WMO  RTC Nanjing. Twenty-one participants who come from  fourteen countries of Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia attended the training. It  lasted for  two weeks.
