Opening Ceremony of Training Course for Aeronautical Meteorology Observers was held by WMO RTC Nanjing 

On the morning of 13th of April, the opening ceremony of Training Course for Aeronautical Meteorology Observers was held in NUIST training building S307. The participants and Wang Suchun, the Executive Deputy Director of WMO RTC Centre, took part in the opening ceremony and the Deputy Director Lei Zhaochong presided over the ceremony. 

The Executive Deputy Director of the Centre Wang Suchun, on behalf of our university and the Centre gave a speech in the opening ceremony and warmly welcome the participants to study in our university. Moreover, she also introduced the history and present situation of our university and the Centre.
The training course are tailored for aviation meteorological observers according to capacity requirements of World Meteorological Organization. The course will be taught by professors with rich teaching experience from our university and aeronautical meteorological expert with rich practical experience of East China Air Traffic Management Bureau , Shanghai Hongqiao Airport. The participants will learn a series of seminars in two weeks, namely the Impact of Meteorological Phenomena and Parameters on Aviation Operations, Formation Mechanisms and Characteristics of Aeronautical Meteorological Phenomena and Aviation Hazards, Local Topography and Its Effects on Weather, Meteorological Instruments and Observational Methods, Quality Management and Aviation Safety Management System, Interpretation of Observational Data and Preparation of Meteorological Reports and Air Traffic Services, Aviation User Requirements and Aeronautical Meteorological Telecommunications. Besides, they will go to Nanjing Lukou Airport to take up an internship.
It is the 8th training course which designed for the Geographical and Meteorological Bureau of Macao.
