2015 Seminar on Climate Change and Climate Information Service for Developing Countries was Completed 

On the afternoon of June 24th, the Closing Ceremony of 2015 Seminar on Climate Change and Climate Information Service for Developing Countries, which was sponsored by Ministry of Commerce and undertook by WMO RTC Nanjing, was held in Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology(NUIST). NIU Shengjie , Vice President of NUIST attended the closing ceremony and delivered a speech. Participants from 19 countries and regions including Egypt, Papua New Guinea, Thailand and so on attended the closing Ceremony.  Deputy Director of WMO Regional Training Centre Nanjing LEI Zhaochong presided over the ceremony.

Vice President NIU Shengjie is very gratefully to Ministry of Commerce and World Meteorological Organization for the support of this training course. He appreciated the Cooperation and support of the participants during the training. He said , the Center invited a number of experts from China Meteorological Bureau and NUIST’s professors for giving lectures. They gave the knowledge of the latest climate change and climate information service for participants. Participants also went to visit Shanghai Meteorological Burea for further understanding of China's meteorological services, culture, social and economic development, and so on.
Ms. TAMARA CAMPBELL, the representative of participants, from  Jamaica said :” This trip to China is a useful experience. We not only understand the recent development of climate change, but taste Chinese food,  understand Chinese culture, get to know the Chinese people and feel their friendship…….”She also cited Chinese proverb “It takes ten years to grow trees but a hundred years to cultivate people" to highly praised Chinese government, NUIST and WMO Nanjing Regional Training Center Nanjing with all their efforts.
